Traning Out – My Favourite Things
By Grimbeau

Mars Bars and Marmite, a bunch of bananas;
Carmelite bunfights and chimps in pyjamas,
People called Harry who never could sing.
Foppish green parrots and My-Ding-a-Ling.
Marathon quitters and overcooked shellfish;
Corporate vandals and people called Hamish.
Wise fellow travellers and humourous Jews,
Sackcloth and hashish and yesterday’s news.

Cats that don’t shite
Ochre Termites
Vases made by Ming
A long shot at Ascot called Brian Boru
A warm comfy loo
And Bing

Tormented toadies and kippers in slippers
Fine Spanish brandy and sodden daytrippers
Carmen Miranda and tatties and stew
Cardsharps and Descartes and didgereedoos
Larks tongues in aspic and new boots and panties
Orson Welles, Brando, and Jimmy Durante
Waterside barbel and och-aye-the-noo
The foetal position and the First of the Few.

Smirking Coppers:
Green gobstoppers:
Tories sniffing glue.
Headlice and termites, the man from the Pru:
And those who dont queue
Fuck you!
