Fall Clocks Back Soon

wheelchair matisses

Moon undercast, sat in dark, underslept,

overdreamt.

Grayson Perry repeats in my ear:

wreath lecture.

Upstairs rumbles, floorboards creak:  footfall

human biped

paw patter.

Noises.

House to clear, stuff to do.

Shetland occasionally poor.

Colour pitch. Huge challenges. Budget cuts.

Findings concerning.

Rain is the number. Heavy brisk bluster.

Gorge custard. Asp tounges in larkspit.

Togas and no gas.

Maria danced for money

grander day. Blue mountain megafire. Bedtime for bonkers.

Thuds.

The day begins and ends in night.

Night is morning: Good morning night!

Clocks fall back soon.

Gadzooks!

Cataract in Human Eye

Look out!

An ill wind

Coughs: spits out

Lilac phlegm.

Now smell

sweet almond waft

angry onions:

this garden is

full of livid

sad mad

bramble.

Ghoulish dead potato

crazed leek

rise up to

taste

doomed decay

reeking havoc

hear

the cluck as

amok chickens

weep behind trembling

toffee wrappers

See

Behind that mauve shed

a terrible lettuce

is born.

Purgatory

Sound transmission with lampblack reflector

_

Wonky-wheeled about with caution,

discovered prone Bloom, covered in

lampblack, penitently licking up,

almost lapping up,  ancient grease

beneath my fridge. Toilet next,

then repatriation to the Lazar

Zones of Bongo-Bongo Land.

Abjection is the will of kippers…

must try harder next time, if…

Candid Chimera

Indian Tepee, Kenora, Ontario.

Last Night of…

extreme dreams,

stark monochrome fluid,

freeway floral wallpaper,

rotting damasks, shillelagh,

almonds and formaldehyde.

White light, white sheet.

Jammin’ Jerusalem

Jute wailing bunnies.

Then,

exhausted from the lie-in:

cobalt clear still sky

flossed with high flying drifts,

orchestras of demi-gods trail

home spent.

We scavenge the tepee for beans,

celebrate love apples with libations of strong coffee,

and weep and fear for the band snakes,

Asian gators, and tigers on the fridge, hiding behind

the fabric conditioner, still ready to pounce on sleepy

Moorhen’s eggs.

Your runnin’ and

your runnin’ and

your runnin’ away

from yourself.

Lassitude, Come Home!

Jules Balavoine - Lassitude

When tempted to run for pinball

do yoga breathing, stand on your head,

and whistle down the wind,

play games

with lazyitis, and why not!

dissipation, the thin dry horse

Table on the meal when you get

Back home if you have

got a home at all.

Seems about time to sweep up the back yard

Alternatively, build a giant rat trap.

Faffing

English: Coxal bone

Showered thoroughly,  racket of motors and gardeners ergo

no P&Q – which should be minded at all times. Pills taken

after scotch egg and salad. Sit outside in the din? Coffee & Fag first,

Friday afternoon slope off early. Bone piece on Hacek okay,

Strike Magazine – check it out, maybe subscribe. Need something

softer under my bare arse. Where was I? Coffee and fag.

Rites of Dionysus, 4

Rite of Spring on: unseasonably

Pleasing accompaniment while

Sitting daringly naked with towel

To hand and an eye on my genitals

Ensuring they are not overexposed

To the sun.

Having been burnt before like this.

When the Rite is done

(less than thirty minutes)

Back indoors to lunch on cider and crackers,

And, gently creaming my largest organ.

It is the centenary of this Rite.
